Dr. Emily Ward

DVM

Dr. Emily Ward Huffman was born and raised in Waynesboro, Virginia. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Graduating in the top twenty-five percent of her veterinary school class, she was inducted into the Phi Zeta honor society. Emily completed her undergraduate studies at Randolph College in 2017. There she earned her Bachelor of Science degree and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, ranking in the top ten percent of her undergraduate class.

Dr. Ward has a long-standing relationship with the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro. Beginning in high school as a kennel assistant, she has worked in a multitude of roles around the hospital over summer and winter breaks from school. She is incredibly excited to be back at AHW, now as an Associate Veterinarian. Her professional interests include dentistry, ophthalmology, and internal medicine.

In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, baking sweet treats, and playing her violin and viola. She and her husband, Dave, currently have an aquarium of fish, a golden retriever named Eleanor, and an orange cat named Patrick.
