Our family has two cats and one dog that have been well cared for through all their needs. This has included regular checkups, specialty care or consults regarding future services. Dr. Reader is the cat whisperer. I had a young cat with chronic diarrhea over a 2 month period and no one could figure it out (multiple doctors). He was losing weight and lethargic and Dr. Reader figured it out in one visit and with so much understanding and compassion. All my animals go to her now.

The moment you enter, you are greeted with a warm and friendly smile.The vet techs are always nice and when they take you back to the room....they always want to hear any concerns or questions you have. They never appear to be rushed....even though I know they are.I have only seen Dr Weeks and Dr Reeder for my dog. Every time I see one or the other, they both are knowledgeable and thorough. They take the time to explain in detail about how to properly care for your pet to make them feel better. When they throw in Dr Reeder's yummy treats....my boy is happy!! :)My only regret is that I did not find this amazing practice sooner when my dog was younger. I trusted another vet practice and their "brush it under the rug don't worry about it!" Cost my dog his sight.To be accredited hospital means a lot to me. It's not easy to keep up with the criteria of accreditation....so knowing that they have that and keep it means alot.I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone who is seeking a professional, yet caring, staff.

AHW is a wonderful group of Vets. Dr Ward is a fantastic vet. She is thorough, detailed in sharing information, caring, and very smart. We trust her with our furbabes.Our only issue with AHW is their prices for tests and medications. They are extremely high and cause us to get what meds we can online with a prescription. Thankfully the staff will send the prescriptions directly to the Rx company of our choice. Sadly, with now having a sick dog, the meds are needed immediately and every visit to the vet is $200+. We have 4 dogs and the cost of their healthcare is becoming financially difficult. Care Credit helps by affording us a slight delay in having the funds with a short (not long enough) no interest period. AHW prices are similar to other Vets but the high cost of healthcare makes having pets a financial burden many can't afford. I have worked with and always adopt rescues and it makes me sad to know many people do not get healthcare for theirs pets or do not adopt pets at all or will even surrender their pets for lack of affordability. I wish the Vet industry were more cognizant of this fact and were part of the solution.

I've been coming here for 6yrs now. Friendly staff and the service is good for the most part but it seems like every other month when I call in my pet meds and I go to pick them up they haven't even been put in to be refilled. This has been happening alot here lately. Even one of the staff members at the desk said one time that they always mess hers up! I want to keep coming here because that's what I'use to, please don't make me change my mind 😏

I can not recommend Animal Hospital of Waynesboro enough! All of our 4 animals are treated like family here, the staff are always so welcoming and friendly every time I come in-which is a lot! The vets meet your dogs where they are and do everything they can to make them feel comfortable. So my cat broke her leg to the point she needed an amputation. My kitty was not happy obviously and fought the vets hard. They were understanding and didn’t charge me for extra sedation. It was really nice of them to offer that. I’m a school teacher and I don’t have much expendable income so I was flattered by that. They also understood how expensive it is for the amputation surgery and were so empathetic. The only problem was when I got her from surgery she smelt awful. He carrier also smelt awful, but she was pretty heavily sedated and may have had a bathroom accident. The doctor was so sweet and the staff were so kind. They were just as sad as me that she needed this surgery. I recommend them with all my heart. My kitty is doing amazing and I’m so lucky they helped us.

Our sweet dog Molly became very sick with Pancreatitis last week and we didn’t know if she was going to make it or not. She saw Dr. Lorenz and was hospitalized for 5 days and he went above and beyond to get her better! ❤️ The vet techs and staff are wonderful as well! He kept us informed by phone calls I was even able to go out and visit with her. She’s been home since Wednesday and still has has some loose stools and whiny at times due to pain but he is controlling that with her medication! She’s came a very long way since last Saturday and we are forever grateful for Dr. Lorenz! ❤️ Thank you to everyone out there who has called and checked on her! This was my best ever experience at an animal hospital. They treated me with respect, and my 19 month young German Shepherd made two new human friends. This was his first trip to his new vet, and they really treated him with Love. The visit ended up being only about gaining his trust. They were magnificent, and his next visit will be for his vaccinations. They have gained my business forever by simply showing my pup love and affection, and respect. My previous vet is still overbooking and not allowing the pet parents to come in with their fur babies. They don't see pets, they see dollar signs. Animal Hospital of Waynesboro is where everyone should take their pets.

My dogs first visit was an emergency. we had just moved here from out of state and didnt know any vets yet. They took him in right away, the staff was caring and patient. I couldn't go in with him due to the quarantine, but the staff listened to my concerns and details about his personality. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. The staff and Dr Lorenz kept in contact throughout the day and after his surgery. They decide to keep him over night due to some concerns (and didn't charge me) I got a check in call the next morning with updates on how he was doing, and set a time for pick up. He came out tag wagging and happy. I know he was comfortable there to. I can't say enough about his animal hospital. The staff and Doctor were amazing during this whole ordeal. There is something truly remarkable about watching Dr. Reeder be my dog’s veterinarian. Every part of Scarlet’s annual exam and vaccinations today was completed with such skill and professionalism that I left in awe. I fully expected Scarlet to have a rough appointment while being poked and prodded and examined, but Dr. Reeder took her time with her, she made her comfortable, she won her over with treats and she completed the most through veterinarian exam I have ever witnessed, in addition to three vaccinations without so much as a whimper from Scarlet. I consider myself so fortunate to have found such a wonderful veterinarian.

I took Gracie for her first visit and I was beyond impressed! Gracie had the best check up she has ever had! I learned so much from Dr. Lorenz that we had never had in the past! Awesome, friendly and the most caring staff ever! Dr. Lorenz is amazing! I can’t say enough about Animal Hospital of Waynesboro! So glad I made this change!!!!

Last Sunday our dog ran into a piece of re bar and it tore her side open and we had to take her to the emergency vet in Verona, they stitched her up. Thursday we went back to the emergency vet to get the drainage tubes removed and they told us wrong information. Woke up Friday and her skin had died and stitches tore open, I immediately called the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro and they got me in right away. They were very patient with me as I was a nervous wreck and crying. They were able to cut away the dead skin and re-stitch our dog. On a scale of 1-10 the stitches she had done at the emergency vet were a 2 and the stitches she had done here were a 10! They have been so great to deal with and very helpful. I ask a thousand questions and they are patient and answer every single one of them. Dr. Reeder and the team are amazing. Baylie is looking better and better and should be completely healed next week. They truly do care about your pets and I am so grateful.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the amazing services we have been receiving from the whole staff!! We found newborn kittens that had been abandoned so we brought them home to save them. With never doing this before and the fear of one struggling I walked in with no appointment and the staff immediately took the kittens to be incubated and taken care of. Dr. Weeks was so amazing with giving me updates and explaining the care I would need to give the kittens. She did everything we could have asked for. Unfortunately we did have one pass and they all were so supportive and caring!! We are still receiving care and checkups for the one kitty left and they have been on top of his health and any concerns we may have!! We can’t wait to see them next week for another checkup!! This whole team is beyond amazing!! 🐱❤️

I just want to thank you all so much for the card, and the paw print, it took me a day or two before able to post it without harshly sobbing. The visit itself was incredibly difficult, its never a good feeling when you have to make a decision to stop somone you love from suffering. But the doctor never left the room during the whole process. And To the compassionate staff who genuinely love and respect our best friends, i am eternally grateful, to see the love and life still etched into your mouth and eyes.

I need to take a minute and acknowledge Animal Hospital of Waynesboro. Loosing an animal in any capacity is so difficult. They were very supportive and understanding the day that Zeus was laid to rest. They made sure his last few hours physically on this planet were filled with love and care. They helped him go with a full belly of warm roasted chicken,(which was above and beyond their calling) as well walked me through what to expect. I left that day a mess, genuinely a sobbing mess. I didn’t stay long enough to collect his things(collar and leash) they called me a few weeks later to let me know they had not only kept his leash and collar but also had Zeus’s paw print for me whenever I was ready to pick them up. Today, I thought I was strong enough to pick them up, I went in told the receptionist what I was there for and was genuinely so proud I made it through the whole speech without crying once.... until, I got in the car opened the envelope to find a beautiful poem along with his paw print as well as a card signed by every single employee of the office. The fact that they took the time to care not only for our pet, but us says something about this office. I can never express how grateful I am for their support during this difficult time.

Zoë LOVES Dr. Reeder despite hating coming to the vet! They are always so patient and willing to work with us to make visits as easy as possible on Zoë. They've been amazing at working with us on payment plans for emergency visits as well as getting us in quickly. They were wonderful with our last dog, Gracie, before cancer got the best of her. We will always make take Zoë to see them no matter where we live!

I have gone to the AH of W'boro for over 30 years now. I loved Dr Partridge and was so sad when he retired, but I have to say Dr Lorenz is amazing! He's seems to really care about my babies and their well being. The whole staff gets 5+ stars for being outstanding, helpful, and caring. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

My dog got sick this week. Not only did they squeeze him into their schedule but they let my husband take the dog in early and kept him all day for observation. We brought him home and they have called twice to check on him!!! Awesome place!!!
