Dr. Gregory Lorenz

Dr. Greg Lorenz graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and received the Merck Manual Award for graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, and is a past president of the Blue Ridge Veterinary Medical Association. For over 8 years, Dr. Lorenz has served on the advisory committee for Blue Ridge Community College’s veterinary technician program.

Dr. Lorenz practiced in a busy small animal hospital in southern Maryland for about five years before joining the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro in 2006. In October 2008, he took ownership of the hospital and is the Director of Medicine. His professional interests include surgery (soft tissue and orthopedics), as well as ultrasound and internal medicine.

Dr. Lorenz shares his home with his wife Jen; their two children, Maggie and Sam; two dogs, Duck and Peach; and cat, Ju Ju Bee Jones. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, fishing, and reading. Dr. Lorenz is passionate about improving the lives of pets in the Waynesboro area and helping his clients have a longer and happier life with their pets.
